Getting Started with Roadmaps
—
Key to
Successful Product Strategy
Over
the past decade, product and technology roadmaps have become
increasingly valuable tools to align company strategy with
technological capabilities. Not only can they help you
anticipate future customer needs, they can help you deliver
the right product to the appropriate market with the right
value proposition.
Yet
when it comes to actually implementing roadmaps, many
companies struggle.
So how
do you create a successful roadmapping process? What tools,
techniques, and systems should you use?
In this
90-minute session (60 minute presentation with roughly 30
minutes Q&A woven throughout), roadmapping expert Ed Crowley
will cover:
-
What exactly are
roadmaps?
-
Why are they
important?
-
Does your firm need a
roadmap?
-
What are the
essential ingredients of a successful roadmapping
process?
-
How do you get
started?
-
What are the best
tools and techniques to use?
Since
roadmaps are most effective when created by a
cross-functional group, we suggest listening with others
from your organization (there is no additional charge as
long as you call in one line.) You will also have the
opportunity to ask questions about your unique situation.
Overall
it is an excellent opportunity to listen with others from
your organization. Not only will you learn what others are
doing, you will have the chance to ask questions and receive
advice about your unique challenges.
Invite
your whole team to join you - the fee is the same as long as
it's on one phone line, just put it on speakerphone!
